Wild Whirled desperately needed to update their web presence. Their business model is one in which they license music to the entertainment industry. Therefore, they wanted a website that would give them the abiliy to update music placements and information themselves, and stream content. The solution we suggested was to use DotNetNuke. DotNetNuke is an open source web application based on Microsoft's ASP.net. It gives the site owner the ability to update content through an admin utility, provides a skinning API, gives scalability, offers a custom module API, and is backed by SQL Server. This site also uses Flash to deliver music and images to the end user by streaming the content to the browser window. This prevents lag time in playing songs and ups the interactive experience of the end user. inventiveWebs designed the site skin around pre-existing branding and pre-existing logo. The client's desire was for the site to be black and white primariy, as well as easy to navigate with a clear concise layout.
